Communication Goals

The Foreign Language Fun Kit is developed around 15 content areas that lay the foundation for basic communication in a foreign language*.  Our goal for children ages 3-8 is simple communication about themselves and their world.

Communication Goals 

  • Greet & respond to greetings
  • Introduce & respond to introductions
  • Provide information about self (name, age, gender, etc.)
  • Identify body parts
  • Express likes & dislikes (foods, hobbies, activities, etc.)
  • Make requests (hunger/thirst, clothing, etc.)
  • Describe & compare using colors, numbers, size, etc.
  • Identify family members
  • Express feelings (happy, sad, angry, scared, etc.)
  • Describe daily routines (sleeping, eating, bathing, etc.)
  • Identify & describe seasons, weather and temperature
  • Identify & describe common objects inside the home 
  • Describe trips to various locations (beach, zoo, park, etc.)
    *Global Noodle focuses on Stage I of the Language Learning Continuum used by the California Department of Education (DOE) Foreign Language Framework.  Stage I language learners deal with discrete elements of daily life in highly predictable common daily settings.
